George Carlin passed away of heart failure today.
LOS ANGELES - Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday, a spokesman said. He was 71.
George Carlin Dies at 71 MSNBC
George Carlin was a very funny guy. He could be repetitive at times but he could always make me laugh he will be missed….

I did it! Wrapping up on development for FlickrFree V 1.0 YES!!
http://www.flickrfree.com
Its been a long time coming… well not that long! I’ve been toying around with the idea for a personalized search engine that searches Flickr for Creative Commons lisenced photos , but just never had the time. The Flickr API is kind of a pain in the butt to use so I decided to go with the phpFlickr wrapper it makes communicating with the Flick API soo much nicer. As you can tell im really psyched about this. Its pretty slim right now , but I will keep updating possible updates may include tagging, individual pages for each search phrase, better SEO support, drop down button for linking code, and built in image hosting to name a few. I’ve already had couple offers from people to buy the script and its tempting. Right now i’m looking for a decent open source shopping cart software that works with selling digital items got any suggestions?

I am updating my blog with some free webmaster tools that I wrote in PHP. Most of these tools are still in beta format so please dont be upset if they stop working. The website visitor counter is really basic right now but I will be updating it with some new abilities once I find the time to do it.

This week Disney On Ice is in town with their new show Princess Classics and Caity and I took my daughter to it on Wednesday evening. She had a total blast! I’m also very proud of her. This was the first time she sat down in her seat the entire time without wanting to get up and run around. Disney is pretty cool about letting people take pictures as long as you dont use them commercially (obviously) I managed to get a few pics but I had the wrong settings on the digital camera and most of them came out blurry plus those darn princesses just wouldn’t sit still lol! Luckily the camera professional was in the house (Caity) and took over for me. She was able to snap a few good pics and some video as well.
I’ll update with pics and video in a bit….

Hey just wanted to share with you this awesome Chicken Devine recipe that I sorta created. I got introduced to this yummy meal from a couple friends recently and totally loved it. But when I looked online for a recipe I found a million and a half ways to make it so I kinda morphed a couple of them together and added my own touch…. here it goes.
Brads Chicken Devine
here is what you need…
4 Chicken Breasts cut into bite sized chunks
1 bunch of fresh Broccoli
8 oz Shredded Cheese
2 10.5 oz cans of Cream of Chicken Soup
1 tbsp of Curry Powder - adjust for taste
1/2 cup of Sour Cream
1/2 cup of Mayo
1 tbsp of Garlic Powder (fresh chopped Garlic will work as well)
1 tsp of Lemon Juice
1/4 cup of Melted Butter
3/4 cup of Italian Style Break Crumbs (regular will do as well)
Salt and Pepper
Boil chicken with salt and pepper (until cooked usually about 20 min).
Steam or boil Broccoli strain and arrange on bottom of baking dish.
place Chicken over the Broccoli
Combine the soup, mayo, curry, garlic, sour cream, lemon juice with 1/2 cup of water.
Pour mixture over the chicken and broccoli.
Add cheese then bread crumbs and then pour the melted butter over the bread crumbs.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
This delicious dish goes well with rice or even egg noodles.
If you decide to try this recipe out please leave me a comment on how it worked out for you.

Hey its Super Bowl Sunday! just when you thought all the holidays were over. Its time to sit back and feast on Super Bowl snacks drink micro brews and root for the New England Patriots! (or whoever your rooting for) I’m not a huge American Football fan honestly and I barely follow it.
Of Course living in Maine I do root for the Patriots since they are a New England team and all. Plus I love to munch out and drink beer with family and yell out obscenities at the TV now thats fun!!
Now here is something funny that I found … when you do a google search for “super bowl” in the SERP’s on the front page I noticed these two sites:

according too google these are two different websites well on further inspection the www.superbowl.com just redirects to the URL www.nfl.com/superbowl so essentially they are the same website but showing up twice in the google serps. Now I know a thing or two about SEO and duplicate content and it seems to me that google should technically slap a duplicate content penalty on one of those sites. Unless perhaps the NFL are using cloaking techniques and are serving up an entirely different page of content to google bot so that they can dominate the super bowl search results. I know this is old news google has been silently letting certain companies get away with cloaking their websites for a while now even though its blatantly against their google webmasters guidelines. Google has become very hypocritical in my opinion. When they allow this kind of website behavior to go on unpunished but yet they are the Google Gestapo when it comes to paid links and paid blog reviews.
Sorry about the google rant I know I got a little bit off topic. Enjoy your Super Bowl Sunday and hopefully your team wins (if your team is the Patriots of course). Heres a really yummy recipe that I will be making for tonite Sweet Bacon Wraps delicious and easy!
